to my fascination with the Jurassic Park franchise and Mesozoic era, but also to my relentless determination to uncover what lies beneath the surface.

Paleontologists spend years piecing together an array of bones to form a blueprint. Anyone can find a nugget of history, but it takes an expert to translate the story of a fossil.

So, why didn’t I become a paleontologist? Turns out, I didn’t like dirt as much as I liked to dig.
